No. 25/23 Men's Hoops Faces Missouri State Saturday
Nov. 15, 2012
SAN DIEGO - SDSU Game Notes San Diego State, ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for a 14th consecutive week, travels to the Central Time Zone for the only time this season for a challenging test against Missouri Valley Conference member Missouri State. Game time is set for 1 p.m. CT (11 a.m. PT) and for the only time this season, a San Diego State game will not be televised. Fans can listen to the game on KOGO 95.7 FM and AM 600 with Ted Leitner providing the details. The Aztecs, owners of a 21-5 road record since March 6, 2010 (fourth-best nationally during that time period), have the unenviable task of facing a Missouri State team that is 44-10 in its last 54 home games dating back to the start of the 2009-10 campaign, including a 24-2 mark against non-conference opponents in JQH Arena during that span. San Diego State is coming off a 91-57 victory over San Diego Christian on Tuesday night at Viejas Arena. The Aztecs never trailed and built a 40-point second-half advantage. Junior guard Jamaal Franklin paced the Aztecs with his 14th career double-double and 10th career game with 20 or more points with a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds. Senior guard Chase Tapley added 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and three blocked shots. The win was San Diego State's 24th straight against teams from California. On Saturday, the Aztecs will look to take a big step toward posting another winning month. San Diego State has currently posted a winning record in 20 straight months in which it has played a game, a streak that dates back to March, 2008. |
