This is the fifth straight season in which the Aztecs have seen their national average attendance ranking move up. San Diego State was 76th in 2008-09 (7,023), 72nd in 2009-10 (7,227), 30th in 2010-11 (11,668), 29th in 2011-12 (12,096) and now 27th in 2012-13 (12,414).
Entering the 2013-14 campaign, the Aztecs have played in front of 22 consecutive sellouts, 26 of 34 over the last two seasons and 39 of 49 dating back to the start of the 2010-11 season. Percentage-wise, San Diego State has played in front of 12,414 fans inside Viejas Arena 79.6 percent of the time the last three years. SDSU is coming off a school-record fourth straight appearance in the NCAA tournament where it advanced past the second round for the second time in three seasons. Last year, the Aztecs finished with a 23-11 record, which represented their eighth-consecutive campaign of 20 or more wins, and their postseason berth was their eighth in a row as well.
