SAN DIEGO - San Diego State men's basketball fans who purchase 2010-11 season tickets starting Friday, Aug. 6, at 9 a.m., will receive a free ticket to the season opener at Long Beach State. One free season-opening ticket will be available for each SDSU season ticket purchased. The offer is good for one week only and ends at 5 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 13.

Season seats start at $99 for reserved chair back seats. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the Aztec Ticket Office at (619) 283-7378, visiting Window E at Qualcomm Stadium or online at GoAztecs.com.

The Aztecs will kick off the campaign against the 49ers on Saturday, Nov. 13, at the Walter Pyramid on the Long Beach State campus. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. PT. LBSU is expected to be one of the top teams in the Big West Conference this year.

The game will be the first meeting between the schools since a 74-44 San Diego State victory in the 2003-04 opener. SDSU leads the all-time series with the 49ers, 34-22.

The Scarlet and Black will make the short trip north having won five straight season-opening games, including three consecutive away from Viejas Arena.

The Aztecs return nine letterwinners, including all five starters from 2009-10. Kawhi Leonard leads the way for San Diego State and comes into the upcoming year ranked 18th nationally in career double-doubles. Also returning is senior Billy White (2010 MWC honorable mention), who enters the year as the nation's active leader in field-goal percentage, senior Malcolm Thomas (2010 all-MWC second team) and senior D.J. Gay (2010 MWC honorable mention).

SDSU enters the 2010-11 season fresh off one of its most successful efforts after winning the MWC tournament crown, advancing to the NCAA Tournament and compiling a 25-9 record. The Scarlet and Black have won 20 or more games and advanced to the postseason five consecutive seasons. San Diego State inches toward the `10-11 season with much anticipation as it is ranked No. 23 in Dick Vitale's preseason poll and No. 24 in Andy Katz's rankings. ESPN.com's Pat Forde and FoxSports.com's Jeff Goodman, meanwhile, have tabbed the Aztecs as one of their top teams heading into `10-11.
