2012-13 SDSU Men's Basketball Preseason Accolades
SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State and Syracuse men's basketball programs are scheduled to hold a media day to discuss the Battle on the Midway at 11:30 a.m. PT on Wednesday, May 2, aboard the USS Midway Museum flight deck in San Diego. SDSU men's basketball coach Steve Fisher will also be taking part in a Google+ Hangout later in the day at 1 p.m. PT.
Wednesday's press conference, which can be seen live via GoAztecs.com, will feature Fisher along with Jim Boeheim, Syracuse's head coach, as both will discuss the Battle on the Midway. The inaugural event is set for Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at 4 p.m. PT and will pit two of the best programs in the nation. The Aztecs and the Orange have appeared in the NCAA Tournament three consecutive years and won at least 25 games the last four seasons.
Fisher is also set to host the first-ever San Diego State Athletics Google+ Hangout. Everyone will be able to watch the event, but a few fans will get the opportunity to ask Fisher questions directly. Fans should check out SDSU's Google+ page for more information and are encouraged to leave a comment to have a chance to interact with Fisher.
Heading into 2012-13, San Diego State is set to return four of its five starters and its top four scorers from this past season. The Aztecs are also slated to welcome three Division I transfers and a heralded recruiting class to what returns next year. SDSU has received lots of national attention this offseason, as it was tabbed as a top-10 team by three different media outlets.
