Game-Winning Shots
San Diego State sophomore Jamaal Franklin recorded his second game-winning shot of the season yesterday in the victory over Boise State.
n Since the 1996-97 season, Franklin is the fifth Aztec to post multiple game-winning shots in their career. He joins Brandon Heath (4), D.J. Gay (3), Al Faux (2) and Billy White (2) with multiple game winners.
Yesterday marked the first time the Aztecs won with a shot as time expired since Brandon Heath launched a half-court shot to defeat Murray State, 87-84, on Nov. 10, 2006.
It was the first time the Aztecs won with a three-pointer since Lorrenzo Wade broke a tie with a three-pointer from the right wing to defeat Colorado State, 83-82, on Jan. 29, 2008. Wade made his shot with 20.9 seconds remaining.
n More information on clutch shots can be found on page 192 of the media guide.
