San Diego State Takes Four-Game Winning Streak to Provo for a Showdown with No. 13/11 Brigham Young on Wednesday
Having clinched a school-record fifth straight 20-win season, San Diego State (20-7 overall; 9-4 MWC), winners of four consecutive games by a combined margin of 65 points, travels to Provo, Utah, to face 13th/11th-ranked (AP/coaches polls) Brigham Young on Wednesday night at the Marriott Center.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. MT (6 p.m. PT) and it will be televised nationally by CBS College Sports (San Diego Cox Cable channel 321, San Diego Time Warner 415, DirecTV channel 613, Dish Network channel 152) with Tom Hart and Steve Lappas on the call. The game can also be heard on AM 600 KOGO with Ted Leitner providing the description.

San Diego State improved to 13-1 at home this season and won for the sixth time in its last seven outings overall on Saturday with a 68-61 victory over Utah. The Aztecs trailed for a mere 17 seconds in picking up the win. San Diego State set a school record for fewest turnovers in a Mountain West Conference game (5) and the Utes became the fourth consecutive opponent to shoot below 40 percent from the field against SDSU. The Aztecs improved to 13-1 this season when holding their opponent to 40 percent or less from the floor.

Junior forward Malcolm Thomas led the way with a career-high 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field. He added six rebounds in the game and reached the 20-point plateau for the fourth time this season and the eighth time in his career. Freshman forward Kawhi Leonard, meanwhile, posted his 13th double-double of the season with 14 points and 15 rebounds. He ranks third nationally among all freshmen in rebounding (9.6) and double-doubles.

Junior Billy White, who has overcome a pair of injuries this season (wrist injury in October and a high-ankle sprain in early January) saw his four game double-digit scoring streak come to an end. Still, the forward connected on 3-of-4 field goal attempts en route to eight points. In his last five games White is averaging 12.8 points and has connected on 64.9 percent from the field.

Brigham Young enters Monday with the nation's fifth-longest active home court win streak of 20 games. The Cougars lead the country in free throw shooting (77.9), rank second in scoring margin (+19.2), third in three-point field-goal percentage (41.8), fourth in scoring offense (82.8), and seventh in field-goal percentage (49.0). The Cougars last home loss came on Jan. 21, 2009, against UNLV, 76-70.

Wednesday marks the 68th meeting between the teams with Brigham Young owning a 45-22 series lead. The Aztecs are 3-27 all-time against the Cougars in Provo, with wins coming on Jan. 31, 1985, Dec. 31, 1996 and Jan. 8, 2005. Earlier this season, the Cougars defeated the Aztecs, 71-69, at Viejas Arena. Jimmer Fredette scored a game-high 33 points, while Kawhi Leonard paced SDSU with 16 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. The Aztecs have defeated the Cougars at least once in a school-record six straight seasons.
