Tickets Available For SDSU-BYU Men's Basketball Game

SAN DIEGO - The San Diego State men's basketball team returns to Cox Arena Tuesday night to host a pivotal Mountain West Conference showdown with Brigham Young. The two teams are positioned in a three-way tie for second place in the MWC. Tickets are still available for the game, which begins at 7:30 p.m. PT at Cox Arena. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance of Tuesday's competition as a large crowd is expected. Tickets can be purchased online at goaztecs.com or by calling the Aztec Ticket Office (619) 283-SDSU. Fans can also go to the Cox Arena box office, the Aztec Center ticket office or visit Qualcomm Stadium Window E to purchase tickets. There are exciting opportunities slated for Tuesday night that fans are encouraged to take advantage of. San Diego State's Associated Students will be at Cox Arena giving away an Aztecs knit hat to the first 2,500 students. In addition, all Aztec supporters should try the MWC Weeknight Meal Deal. The deal consists of a 20-ounce soda, hot dog and chips at the game for just $6. In addition, new head football coach Brady Hoke will be in attendance and will address the crowd at halftime. San Diego State students are also invited to attend the basketball pre-game festivities Tuesday afternoon. "The Show" will be out at the Free Speech Steps at Aztec Center to from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Students can make the infamous faces that are displayed in the student-section of Cox Arena during the second half of all men's basketball games. The MWC matchup will feature two teams tied for second place in the league. Even with a Cougar loss on Saturday to UNLV, Brigham Young (20-6, 8-4 MWC) sits tied for second place in the conference standings with San Diego State and New Mexico. The Aztecs are looking to extend their homecourt winning streak to 11 games. A victory over Brigham Young would give the Aztecs their sixth-longest home winning streak in school history. Tuesday's men's contest is also being televised live on The Mtn. (San Diego Cox Cable 320, DirecTV 616).
In other news on The Mesa, the San Diego State baseball team opens the 2009 season at home Tuesday night when it welcomes nationally-ranked Cal State Fullerton to Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Aztecs and the Titans are set to square off at 6:00 p.m. PT. Tickets for the baseball home-opener are also still available and may be purchased any of the above listed ways. Fans who purchase tickets to the men's basketball game will be allowed access to the SDSU-CS Fullerton baseball game free by presenting a SDSU-BYU basketball ticket at the gate. |
