San Diego State Welcomes Utah to Cox Arena on Saturday Afternoon for a Nationally Televised Contest
San Diego State (11-3; 1-0 MWC) will put its four-game winning streak on the line Saturday afternoon as Utah (10-5; 1-0 MWC) visits Cox Arena in the Aztecs' Mountain West Conference home opener. Game time is set for 1 p.m. PT and will be televised live on VERSUS.

SDSU, which last played on Saturday, Jan. 3, comes into the game having beat Air Force its last time out, 61-44, to snap a five-game losing streak at the Academy. Utah, meanwhile, defeated Wyoming on Jan. 3 in its MWC opener and most recently beat LSU by 30, 91-61, on Tuesday.

Game Tidbits:
* San Diego State is looking to match its best record after 15 games in its Division I history, which dates back to the 1970-71 season. A 12-3 record would equal the Aztecs' best record at this point in a season since the 1984-85 squad opened with an identical mark.

* SDSU enters the game with Utah as the only team in the Mountain West to have won a conference road game so far this season. Wyoming, Colorado State and New Mexico were all unsuccessful in their bids to escape with an MWC road victory after one weekend of play.

* The Aztecs will be looking to do something that has never been done in school history on Saturday and that is to win three games in a row over Utah in San Diego. Last year, SDSU won by eight in overtime and emerged victorious by 10 in 2007. The last time San Diego State won two in a row in America's Finest City was in 1982 and 1983 at the San Diego Sports Arena.

* According to the NCAA, San Diego State is third nationally in scoring defense at 55.1 (through games of Jan. 4) behind with Cleveland State (55.1) and Washington State (50.8).
