SDSU wins its 21st straight game in the month of December. That entered today as the third-longest streak in the country. The Aztecs win their eighth straight game overall and seventh straight home contest. San Diego State wins its 31st straight regular-season game vs. unranked non-conference foes and improves to 51-1 in its last 52 home games vs. unranked teams. San Diego State has won 28 straight home games during the month of December. The 8-1 start is tied for the second-best start in Division I history (1970-71). This is the sixth time SDSU has won eight of its first nine games. This is the Aztecs' best start to a season since 2010-11 when that team opened with an unblemished 9-0 record after nine games.
