• San Diego State's two-game winning streak overall and two-game winning streak at The Pit were snapped tonight.

• The 10-point margin of defeat is San Diego State's largest margin of defeat in its last 10 games.

• Despite the loss, San Diego State is 5-3 in its last eight trips to The Pit (since Feb. 25, 2006), During that span, the rest of the country is 12-102 playing at New Mexico.

• San Diego State played in front of its seventh consecutive sold out crowd overall, 16th sellout of the season (includes all games).

• New Mexico now leads the all-time series, 41-33.

Game Notes

• The teams each had 21 field goals and four three-point field goals. New Mexico was 24-32 from the line, while San Diego State was 14-21.

• New Mexico built a 15-point lead on two occasions (48-33 and 50-35). After the Lobos led 50-35, San Diego State used a 14-4 run to pull within 54-49 with 4:34 to play.

• San Diego State held a 36-30 rebound advantage. It is the third consecutive game in which the Aztecs have outrebounded their opponent.

• The Aztecs had just four second-half turnovers.

Franklin reached double figures for the 15th straight game, the 26th time this season and the 56th time in his career... He led San Diego State in scoring for the 18th time this season and the 34th time in his career... He narrowly missed a double-double, with a game-high nine rebounds... He has 21 rebounds in his last two games and 28 rebounds in his last three games... He made a three-point field goal for the third straight game... The junior led the team in rebounding for the 20th time this season and the 38th time this season... This marks the third consecutive game that Franklin has led the team in scoring and rebounding.

JJ O'Brien - 8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals
O'Brien's double-figure scoring streak came to an end at four games... With eight points, he has 59 points in his last five games (11.8 ppg)... He had eight rebounds, including six on the offensive glass,,, O'Brien has 29 rebounds in his last four games (7.3 rpg)... He had six offensive rebounds against the Lobos, 10 in his last two games and 20 in his last five games.

Deshawn Stephens - 8 points, 7 rebounds
Stephens was 4-5 from the field and is now 13-14 from the floor in his last three games... He has eight or more points in three straight games (27 points during that span)... His four offensive rebounds were the most since grabbing five on the offensive glass at Air Force (2-2-13).

Xavier Thames - 8 points, 2 rebounds
Thames followed his 10-point effort against Nevada with an eight-point performance against New Mexico... The two-game total of 18 points represents his highest output in consecutive games since suffering the back injury in early January.... The last time Thames had more points was in Hawaii (12 vs. Indiana State and 11 vs. Arizona).

James Rahon - 7 points, 3 rebounds
Rahon returned to the floor tonight after missing all of the last two games and most of the last three games with a right shoulder sprain... Rahon made a three-point field goal en route to a seven-point performance... If you disregard the UNLV, in which Rahon left three minute in due to the injury, the senior has a three-point field goal in five straight games... His three rebounds were his most since pulling down five against Boise State (2-6-13).
