Played his freshman campaign at former Mountain West Conference school Utah... Averaged 6.4 points, 5.5 rebound and 1.2 assists in 27.7 minutes... His average minutes per game was the third-highest among all Utes... Played in 22 games, making 21 starts... The 21 starting assignments were the fourth-highest total on the team... His 5.5 rebounding average was the second-best on the team, while his scoring average was fifth... Missed nine games in the early going due to a broken foot... In conference games only, he finished in a tie for 10th place in rebounding (6.2) and tied for fifth in offensive rebounding (2.44)... Attended Alta Loma High where he averaged 24.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals his senior season... Was a McDonald's All-America nominee...
