As A Sophomore (1999-2000 Season)
Third on the team in scoring (7.6) and second on the squad in assists (36)... Finished his sophomore season with 39 three-pointers to easily top the Aztecs in that category... Opened the season as a starter, but came off the bench down the stretch... Set a career high with 21 points at Utah, hitting seven three-pointers on nine tries... Those seven treys represent the seventh best total in Aztec history... Scored in double figures 10 times... Led the team in scoring four times... Had a strong outing in SDSU's upset bid in the Mountain West Tournament with 14 points (tying for game honors) and five assists against UNLV... That marked one of only two times that a San Diego State player led the Aztecs in points and assists in the same game (Bradley Jackson vs. South Carolina State)... Set a career high with seven assists in the win over UC Santa Barbara... Had six assists against Southern California and New Mexico State... Shot 85 percent from the free-throw line (28-of-33)... Set Aztec single-game three-point percentage mark by hitting 5-of-6 (.833) vs. Southern California College... All 15 of his points came from behind the arc in that contest... David Morris Abramowitz was born Feb. 18, 1980, in Guadalajara, Mexico... Son of Esthola and Joel Abramowitz... Currently resides in Tijuana, Mexico... Majoring in international business... Plans to return to Mexico and open his own business upon graduation. Played on a high school team that produced five Division I basketball players:Luke Walton (Arizona), Ham Walton (Harvard), Nate Walton (Princeton) and Chris Walton (SDSU freshman).
