Solid offensive and defensive player who returns for his second season at SDSU in the role of starter in center field...One of three Aztecs who played at Cerro Coso Community College in 1998 (others are John Pashales and Tyler Echelbarger)...Played last summer for the Torrington (Connecticut) Twisters of the New England Baseball League along with Aztec teammate Tyler Echelbarger.

College: Batted in the leadoff position in about half the games he started...Hit .322 during the 1999 season, second-best on the club...His 37 runs scored also ranked second among the Aztecs...Scored at least two runs in a game on 10 occasions...Finished the season with a five-game hitting streak in which he hit .421 (9-for-21) with seven runs scored, four RBI, a double and home run...Batted .410 in 24 conference games with a .471 on-base percentage...Received the SDSU Coaches Award for his overall performance during the season.
