Hard-throwing right-hander who came to SDSU last season from Pasadena City College...Played last summer for the North County Waves team that advanced to the NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas…In his lone appearance there, he went 6.2 innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits with one walk and eight strikeouts…He was not involved in the decision as the Waves defeated the Denver Cougars, 5-4…Competed for the Bellingham Bells in the Pacific International League during the summer of 2001.

SDSU 2002: Made 10 starts and 12 relief appearances in his first season as an Aztec…Led the San Diego State pitching staff in victories with nine…Named the Mountain West Conference Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 18 after picking up his first Division I win in SDSU's 4-2 victory over Western Kentucky…In that contest, he allowed three hits and struck out six in seven innings of work. Season high seven strikeouts in 8.2 innings vs. New Mexico, his longest outing of the season…Struck out six over 3.2 innings of work at Air Force…Picked up wins in three consecutive appearances late in the season: at New Mexico, at UNLV, and vs. Air Force…Went 5-1 with a 5.81 earned run average in league play.
