CALIFORNIA BANK AND TRUST STUDENT ATHLETES OF THE  WEEK IS WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETE JASMINE BURRELL.

• Jasmine led the way with wins in both the shot put and discus throw at the Arine Robinson Invitational at San Diego Mesa College on Saturday.

• The No. 20 San Diego State track and field team won seven individual events over the weekend.

• Last season Jasmine set the school record for the weight throw and was a CIF state champion during high school.

• Jasmine is originally from Torrance, CA and is only a redshirt sophomore.
