Don't forget to mark you calendars for a pair of upcoming football events.
Saturday is the annual Family Day Scrimmage at Qualcomm Stadium. Admission and parking is free with the gates scheduled to open at 1 p.m. and the scrimmage slated to begin at 2 p.m. Next Wednesday night is the second annual Football 101 for Women. The clinic is designed for women to learn the basics of the game in a relaxed setting and experience Aztec football first hand.
Tom Shanahan of the North County Times, "But Tony (DeMartinis), breaking out of the offensive lineman stereotype, would seem to be within his rights to declare himself the most athletic lineman in the family. That's because the Aztecs not only converted him to a tight end during spring drills, they're asking double-duty of him as a defensive end."
The Seattle Times, "I know the easiest job I've ever had. I was doing voter registration. I got $10 every time I signed someone up to vote. I was at San Diego State, so I would walk around the beach and just ask a bunch of girls to sign up." - Tyler Schmitt
Brian Chu in the San Francisco Chronicle, "Little-known receivers like Josh Morgan, Robert Ortiz and Jerard Rabb have taken advantage of the extra reps." |
