SAN DIEGO - A special commemorative issue from Sports Illustrated honoring Tony Gwynn and Cal Ripken on their upcoming induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame is now available through the SDSU Bookstore at San Diego State University.

The 80-page magazine, with a limited press run of 190,000 copies, features Gwynn on its cover with a billing that reads "A Salute to Tony Gwynn." (Copies of the magazine sold in the Baltimore area feature Cal Ripken, Jr. on the cover.)

The magazine features a retrospective of the careers of Gwynn and Ripken and special features on each player plus interviews offering insight into their legacies

This collector's publication is priced at $6.99 and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the magazine sold by the SDSU Book Store will benefit the Aztec Athletic Department.
