San Diego State's AAF Annual Fund Drive Set to Begin April 20
April 14, 2006
SAN DIEGO - San Diego State University's Aztec Athletic Foundation (AAF) will kickoff its annual fund drive on April 20, with a kickoff rally in the Aztec Hall of Fame from 6-8 p.m. The annual campaign is held every spring to raise funds for student-athlete scholarships and will provide young people with the opportunity to continue their excellence in the classroom and on the athletic fields.
This year's theme will be "Building a Tradition of Champions." The AAF hopes to exceed the amount of money raised through the drive in the eight-week campaign for the sixth year in a row. Last year, the drive raised more than $1.3 million.
The AAF is looking for volunteers from across San Diego County to assist in contacting residents and alumni to reach the goal. For their efforts, volunteers will receive great prizes in addition to the personal reward that comes with helping out young student-athletes in the community.
